Dursley News - July 2014
 

July was another month of good weather which was great for some of the events around the area. The Town Festival took place on the 12th of the month, this time solely in the town centre. The procession was slightly smaller than previous years but the crowds were out and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. At Dursley C of E Primary Academy work began on installing a new kitchen, as well as rebuilding the staffroom, several classrooms and offices. In town Clifton Cameras opened its smart new expanded showroom, a real asset in the town and at the same time the Polish shop moved from Silver Street to Parsonage Street.

Clifton Cameras new showroom
The expansion of the showroom at Clifton Cameras has now completed and the store has reopened. Once more this retail premises is now functioning as a single unit, rather than the two individual ones into which it had been split.

Work begins on building new school kitchen
The old boys' changing room at Dursley C of E Primary Academy which is going to be converted into a brand new kitchen facility.

While work is ongoing in the new kitchen, the staffroom and several of the classrooms, many of the contents have been moved into the hall for the duration of the summer break.
