Dursley News - October 2011

A surprisingly warm month, in fact on October 1st 2011, Dursley experienced its highest October temperature on record at 27 deg. C (81 deg.F). During the month there were several new developments around Dursley and Cam lately, most notably the concluding work on the new hospital as it gets closer to taking its first patients. The area around the hospital has also been altered, especially with the new pavements and more work on the overlooking adjacent new houses of Littlecombe. In a similar vein Dursley's new Italian restaurant is also nearly ready for a grand opening, having received smart coats of green and black paint which has really changed its appearance.

In Chapel Street, Cam, the foundations have been laid for the new Cam Parish Council building and the adjoining cafe, at last making use of the derelict patch of land near Tesco.
