Dursley News - December 2005

The month of December started off with an evening of late night opening for many of the town's shops which was accompanied by carol singing by local children and by the Dursley Male Voice Choir under the Town Hall. The Heritage Centre also stayed open and saw a large number of extra visitors for this popular attraction.

Progress continues on the Crest-Nicholson development with more houses being finished off and others started. The new junction on Uley Road is starting to make an appearance. This junction will provide access into the development, with the new road linking up with the bottom of Long Street.

In the centre of town, Dursley's new library is looking almost complete - all the glass is now in and internal fitting out remains.
