Dursley News - May 2010 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
May was generally a very bright and sunny month allowing the area to be viewed in the best possible way. Work on the town centre repaving is progressing at a fast pace and the whole area around the Market House is now looking much more pleasant. It will doubtless make it easier to hold markets and events and should all be finished within the next month. Elsewhere on Parsonage Street the old Somerfield store (and International before that) is undergoing a facelift as Iceland, to be opened in July. At Rednock School, work is almost complete on landscaping the site of the old school with the gardens and grass pitch having their finishing touches put in place. Dursley's other school, the C. of E. Primary at Highfields held their annual summer fete on a glorious sunny day. |
