Dursley News - March 2012

During this month, work on renovation of the old turnpike toll house on Kingshill Road has moved on considerably and it is now externally complete as is the new annex adjacent to it. A tour of the inside of the building reveals that it has been completely stripped out and the old stone walls covered by plasterboard to protect the original structure, although one part that is still visible is the fireplace.

Elsewhere in town, the Tabernacle is undergoing some construction work on the old school rooms and the steps up to the rear entrance, though access to the Garden of Rest has been maintained via the gateway from the recreation ground.
