Dursley News - June 2011 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The sun made frequent appearances during June and work carried on at the new hospital, although much of the work is now inside the building. The parking and landscaping remains to be done but the external view is looking increasingly complete. At the principal junction in town of May Lane and Parsonage Street a roundabout is being trialled. The traffic lights have been turned off and the vehicles are moving very freely. Whether it will stay or not is uncertain; one thing which will need to be worked out if it does is a safe crossing point for pedestrians as the controlled crossing are currently out of action. Another potential (temporary) traffic hold up point is due to the repair work being done to the Golden Wall on Kingshill Road. So far it's not having too much of an effect so hopefully things will carry on that way until repairs are complete. |
