Dursley News - February 2007

February 8th 2007 saw the first snow in Dursley for several years although it didn't hang around too long. Rain came along in the afternoon, the temperatures rose and it rapidly disappeared.

The annual Dursley Dozen race took place the following weekend which started in a torrential downpour only for it to change to sun and blue skies for the rest of the 12 mile arduous tour of the hills around the town.

In the centre of town, work began on replacing the roof of the Parish Church when scaffolding started to go up. This alone was a mammoth task which didn't get completed until the end of the month.
