The brand new Rednock School has taken the last few steps before opening for the first time to children in September. The building was handed over at the end of July and the transfer of everything from the old school has been ongoing for several weeks. Landscaping at the front of the new building and final surfacing of the car park is now complete and it awaits its new residents. At the same time, the focus has switched to the old buildings and contractors are on site to tear down them down in readiness for site clearance and landscaping. Elsewhere, work is continuing on digging foundations for an extension to what will become the LIDL supermarket on Kingshill Road. The existing building has also been gutted and is undergoing a major facelift. Further south on Kingshill Road, the Wild Goose garage has undergone a makeover and has reopened after a short closure. |
